Dr. Shannon Leach
MChiro DC

Having been in practise for eight years I have had the opportunity to see the benefits chiropractic care has to offer people and the improvements in their quality of life it can make. After experiencing the results of chiropractic treatment as a patient and completing a degree in Acupuncture, I decided to further my training by studying chiropractic science. After practising in Australia for a number of years I decided to relocate to the U.K to experience other parts of the world. I encourage patients to have an active role in their care while educating them on how to improve their health and prevent problems from developing in the future. Having treated patients of all ages and different stages of life as well as very acute and chronic conditions, I have seen how chiropractic can help to treat and manage a wide variety of complaints as well as help people live more productive lives. If you have any questions about how chiropractic may be of benefit to you please contact me at Back on Motion.

Miss Sophie Outen
Massage Therapist and Herbalist

Sophie has been a practising massage therapist since 2000. Since then she has continually updated her skills and is now qualified in Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, ‘advanced’ or deep tissue massage and Aromatherapy Massage.

Thanks to the breath and depth of training and experience gained over the last 10 years Sophie is able to tailor the treatment and massage style to your needs. Some prefer a deep treatment aimed at relieving muscular pain and tension. For these clients the muscles are stretched and kneaded with appropriate pressure and trigger or pressure points are utilised to encourage tight muscles to relax. Aromatherapy massage is more suitable for those that prefer a lighter touch.

Sophie is also a Medical Herbalist. Medical Herbalists can help with the management of a wide variety of complaints including skin conditions, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, infections and headaches and much more! Herbal treatment can also speed the recovery from illness or injury. An individual herbal medicine is prescribed after a consultation, one hour in duration. The medicine is taken for a period of time dependent on the patient’s needs. Follow up consultations last half an hour, they are used to record progress and make any necessary changes to the prescription.

The medicines are charged separately from the consultation but typically amount to £5 per week.

Sophie always uses organic herbs when available.

Jo Santus and Netta Gill
Clinic Management and Reception

When you phone the clinic or walk through the door, you will understand why Jo and Netta are the real faces of Back in Motion. They have a wonderful ability to make everyone feel important, and if you arrive at the clinic early, they will make you a great cup of tea. Because of them, the reception area feels very different from the usual "doctor’s office." - It’s usually full of conversation and laughter. At Back in Motion we believe that every member of staff aids in the healing process, and the reception is where it all starts.

Jo has worked with Back in Motion since 2004 and has enjoyed helping to build the practise, ensuring every patient is welcomed into a relaxing and comfortable environment. She has had the opportunity to further her knowledge of chiropractic through attending seminars and then implement changes in the clinic to improve the service offered to patients.

Netta joined our team in 2008, working closely with Jo to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Both Netta and Jo have benefitted greatly from chiropractic care.
Without them, nothing would get done.
